Everyone knows about the fairytale story of a poor girl marrying a prince. All she needs to do was to believe and to be kind always even to her step mother who treats her like the house maid. This story was no different rendition from the fairytale that we all come to love/hate while we were growing up.
Master IMBD, summarise for us - When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Never one to give up hope, Ella's fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger. Which basically means Ella or Cinderella later (Lily James) fall in love with a prince, (Richard Madden) and hopes to marry him but was stop by the almighty bitchy stepmother, (Cate Blanchett) and her two daughter, Drisella and Anastasia who I won't even bother mentioning the actresses.
Everything about the fairytale was in the movie, from the super glassy heels/slippers, the almighty golden pumpkin carriage and whatever which in the fairytale are all present in this very movie. The acting of step mother was something to applaud for, now only does she gives you an eerie vibe, Cate Blanchett manage to make you hate her so much in the movie and wish she had not step in the household of Ella and ruined it. Her two snobbish daughters make it even easier to hate them all. The settings are beautifully decorated like those in a fairytale, and the costume wore by Cinderella was to die for. Blue and as it if is glowing, paired with her glass shoes.
TL;DR: Happy ending guaranteed.
