MOVIE REVIEW: INSURGENT



The first movie was called Divergent and it was indeed forgettable. Then came Insurgent, the second episode of the story. Was it good enough to watch in the cinema, or should you rather just take the money and watch Cinderella?

THE GOOD

It continues almost instantly from the first part with good amount of flashback to help jog your memories on the first episode. The pacing on the story was good as we come to see they pickup where they left out after the first episode. Tris (Shailene Woody) played her role really exceptional in this movie as the main protagonist in this series. I personally felt the action in the movie was not too shabby at all, with lots of guns and occasionally some close quarter moves from Four (Theo James).

THE BAD

Although the pacing was good, I felt as though some of the parts was not related to each other at all. It felt like a filler then again I have not read the book therefore I have no idea if those scenes are actually there for a reason. The appearance of Jeanine (Kate Winslet) in the series does not help to do anything to up the tempo as it felt blend. The ending sparks little confusion even for me, as I struggle to piece the next episode together.

CONCLUSION

The movie is more towards the fans, as it felt little short for me. I prefer the Hunger Games: Mockingjay although it was boring as shit. Then again, both plays on the very same storyline and also the same type of protagonist. Therefore, you can watch it just to know the ending or simply because you are a fan.

FOOD REVIEW: LA CREMERIA - ABSOLUTELY ALMOND

So Le GF told me that La Cremeria by Nestle recently launched a new ice cream to rival Magnum. It also comes with the almond flavour and she gotten one for me to try out. The only good thing about this ice cream that it was FREE. If I have paid for this, I would have jumped out of 14th floor already and bring this ice cream with me. I UPCAR (meaning con)  when I heard that this is rival to Magnum.  La Cremeria Absolutely Almond First thing first, the wrapper is more interesting than the new Magnum retarded wrappers but that is about it. REVIEW: CASIO G-SHOCK DW-5600MS

I find it hard to not write about something like this as the price factor and the pure comfort of the watch. The 5600 series from Casio has been around nested nicely under G-Shock without much of anything to shout about. The design is different from the round type you see from the G-Shock series. The 5600 is more towards square shape and it sits in your arms really nicely. I am not much of a watch enthusiast but I have read more about watches in the last 1 year than about anything else. As much as I am not well versed in their terms, I think my knowledge on their movement and the material build is okay. Besides, I am reviewing this as casual as it can be (trust me, reading up on the DETAILED  watch reviews is going to give you a headache because of the terms they use) Therefore, my job to you is not talk about all the boring terms in watch.
