WEEKEND CHILL PILL: JUMPSTREET ASIA

Image
So I had the chance to take my jumping to the next level at Jump Street Asia   and proceed to make booking over on their website but unfortunately, their website was having technical error. Therefore, we just took our chances and drove there hoping there are some slots left. The signs that greeted us upon arriving. Remember to read the rules people!  The time is 5 p.m and Petaling Jaya was raining like a boss. Gotten our cars parked and ran towards the registration counter. Aww YEAHHHHHH, they still have slots but problem is there are way too many kids running around as someone is having their birthday party there thus making the place crowded as it already is. We quickly gotten band and also the awesome jump street socks and made our way to the locker as soon as possible.  READY.SET. GO The "Sticky" Socks The best is yet to come, as there are many people we cant seem to get into lots of areas especially HIGH PERFORMANCE area where are abl...

I have a degree in Watching Movies, and have more than 10 years experience watching movies in various cinemas. Today,  I will be telling you which cinema will impress your date the most and put you in the position of being the alpha male. You are most welcome. Please before you proceed on reading mah awesome reviews, do note that cinemas mentioned in these reviews are those that I frequent most of the time. Please also buy the tickets online as queueing up with your date (the girl you want to impress, it's not cool!) therefore I have linked the two online cinema websites that you will need:   Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC)  and T anjung Golden Village Cinemas (TGV) . Welcome. 1. Tropicana City Mall (GSC) If you are only allowed to choose one cinema in PJ, please let it be THIS! WEEKEND CHILL PILL: PRAWNING @ TROPICANA EBI FISHING

Image
Yesterday, CY and me has the same idea to do some prawning and we wanted to try out this new place called Tropicana Ebi Fishing. Therefore, I invited 2 of my friends, Sue and Stezon to join us together since they are prawning virgins. Reach there around 10.35 pm and the place is packed with people. First time I have visited a prawning area where the are more ladies than man. Back in Melaka, the whole place is fill with guys only fishing throughout the night. People mountain, people sea The motto of this place is "Prawning made easy" it is mention in almost all of their wall posts. I suppose it is easy because there are lots of prawns in the pond and you always get them biting your bait but most of the time it depends also on experience and luck! Lots of time you will see the prawn above the surface of water but before you can bring it over to your side, it will just nicely slide back in the pond. TROLL SUCCESSFUL! You will need to pay a deposit of RM50 per rod a...

MOVIE REVIEW: Deliver Us From Evil

Image
Visited One City Mall this weekend and watch Deliver Us From Evil at their Premium-X cinema which cost RM12 for a seat. Basically, just watch it at TGV or GSC for maximum comfort. The cinema is tad too bright and and also the chair is awkward, like lecture hall chairs with lots of padding on it. That being said, review time...! Inspired by true story of an officer, Sarchie (Eric Bana) which leads to the understanding of exorcism and how the different stages takes place in those who are possess by demon under the extremely close guidance of  a priest named Mendoza (Edgar Ramirez). Start of the movie is kinda grim and scary but everything else fails as the movie progress. THE GOOD Lots of time in a ghost story, there will be the same cliche scenario (scratching, screaming, or simply just laughing) which in this show, tend to be good. It also build suspense toward another scenario where something is bound to happen. The certain scene especially in the room makes me cringe...

The Short Perspective

Image
Back then in 2001, I was the tallest in my class. Nothing seems to matter, nowadays. See below for basic understanding of my height.  I was THIS tall.   Just joking bru. I have been short for 10 years currently (more to come) and I can tell you that, the perspective here is different even the air you breathe is different (usually unpleasant). Here are the top 10 things people say to me:  1. Wow, you are short!  2. Nah, don't think you can reach it bro. 3. It's okay, I will help you bro! 4. Please measure your height here before sitting on the ride.  5. She doesn't like short guy  6. If only you are taller, I would have dated you in an instant.   7. Go and take the ladder. 8. Err, you sure you can place it on top?  9. Do you want to alter your jeans? 10. No offense, but then you follow your mum or dad?  Then again sometimes being short has it advantages, for example here are my top 5 things people say to...

MOVIE REVIEW: Maleficent

Image
Angelina Jolie, last seen in The Tourist together with Johnny Depp not counting Kung Fu Panda 2 is back in action. This time she plays a sweet fairy till someone human broke her heart and used her to became the king by proving that she is dead - cutting her wings! Maleficent curse the princess to fall into deep sleep on her 16th birthday and not wake up unless she get a true love kiss (it's DISNEY, what are you looking at!) THE GOOD Like all Disney movies, it comes with a lesson behind it. LOVE is the most powerful thing in the universe. It will definitely get you through things. Angelina Jolie acting as usual is really good, make me feel like the whole character of Maleficent is solely customize for her. There is something which Angelina eyes which makes me feel lost when I stare into it. Elle Fanning played a good supporting actress with her fantastic smile and her carefree moment. There is always something fascinating about magic on screen and the CG in the show is abs...

MOVIE REVIEW: X-Men: Days of Future Past

Image
The X-Men franchise while is under Marvel, is not helm by the Marvel Studios, which also explains why my favourite Spider-Man is not in the Avengers! Franchise is currently out for loan to other studio who made X-Men not too bad except for the Last Stand where we all cried seeing the legacy of X-Men crumble in subpar plotted movie. While I shall not mention bout the visual of the show, nor about the the comic part of it, this X-Men portray a lot crossover from the past and present. With the lead cast all coming back and also the cast from First Class coming back to together. X-Men once again capture the attention of the audience. THE GOOD Mutants are showing of their powers and the CG is really beautiful. From Blink's teleportation to Iceman's freezing everything looks so damn believable. The introduction to Quicksilver which was awesome, some emotional phrases which makes you feel like being a mutant and also over the top fighting. The old cast of X-amen played a...

MOVIE REVIEW: Bad Neighbours

Image
Like Channing Tatum, I have never expected Zac Efron to be act like a total dbag, since most of his movies are based on romance and singing, who would have known he made such a Bad Neighbour. Started of with a frat shifting into local community beside a married couple with one kid, all hell break loose when both of them tries to sabotage the other to get them kick out of the housing community. THE GOOD Started of with a normal greeting, quickly turn into a hilarious sabotage of neighbours, one trying to kick the frat community out of the housing area, meanwhile the other trying to show the old couple on HOW TO PARTY!  Lots of funny and also OUCH moments in the whole show. It surely kept me entertain and laughing throughout the whole movie. This show has lots of #bromance moment where all i can say "DEM FEELZ" THE BAD Something that I think throughout the whole show is how did a frat party get to rent a house in the housing community. I might not be ac...

MOVIE REVIEW: The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Image
Took me forever to write up this review on Spider-Man. All of a sudden work is pouring in and I am just being the lazy left this writing in the draft for a good 2 weeks. I am sorry, here it goes my 2 cents on the show. I remember watching the first Amazing Spider-Man and was amaze with the acting of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy literally blew me off the usual  Tobey Maguire Spider-Man edition.  The villians are potrayed by Jamie Foxx as Maxx Dillion/Electro and also Dane Deehan as Harry Osborn/Green Goblin. Both played their character well with Electro probably introduced too much of a rush inside the show but beside that, everything seems like a on a good track for an epic movie of web slinging. THE GOOD  The costume for this movie is much better than the first, they have reworked it to look somehow very natural and also seems much more flexible for him to move around. The CG for the movie is much better too, they...

MOVIE REVIEW: Oculus

Image
Sunday is usually boring as f, as most of my friends gonna stay at home and brave the Monday blues therefore I was thinking, why not I handle the blues by scaring the shit out of me, thus Oculus (actually I was dragged to watch Oculus, truestory.jpg) It started with a new house and a freaking weird mirror. I meant I love antique but the antique that they bought probably through craiglist or lowyat.net seems to be the most weird mirror every.  Everything was happy when they begin shifting in and slowly suspense starts. The dad spends most of his time in his room with the mirror and slowly we see changes in the family. The mirror which believes to be cursed tends slowly intoxicated the mind of person which is close to its proximity and also the radius grows bigger as time passes. The entity in the mirror seems to latch on living beings and slowly poison the thoughts and destroy the memories eventually turning him/her into a vessel.  The kids in the family, on...

Weekend Chill Pill: Langkawi

Image
Flying high with all the cheap alcohol and beaches. It's been the longest time since I have step foot on Langkawi, last being close to 5 years back or was it longer. It started off with a being lured with AirAsia cheap rates last year for RM70 return (well played AA) nevertheless I was accompanied by two other friends who had the same greedy thoughts. Not the best, but meh. Took the 7.45 pm flight on Thursday last week and landed around 9 pm and rented a Toyota Vios for RM150 for 3 days.  We are staying at Federal Villa which is under Holiday Villa management albeit being a little old hotel everything else is ok. We were there when they are doing pest control therefore the floor had some weird smell. The room rate was RM 447 for two nights.  Main point of going to Langkawi is mainly for cheap alcohol and beers and it doesn't disappoint. Most of the beer I had was foreign to me. My top choice will be Sapporo Premium Blend at only RM 3 per bottle. T...
