This movie review is based on 30 minutes after the movie started because I was asleep. Yeah, that is how boring this movie was and I am going to make this review as short as possible because I am afraid of sleeping while writing this review. So, should you watch it? Yes if you are a fan of Disney and their magical bullshit, I give this movie 2 out of 5 stars. If you bother to read you will know why, if not, it's okay, I am asleep by then. So here we go:

Whatever technologies and the alternate universe that they envision was actually quite interesting and makes you want to know more. That is because you will be given a token when scouted, when you touch it, I transport your soul to another plane of universe which is fun to watch as the main character wonder what is going and if she is going crazy just by touching the coins. Surprisingly with heavy weight actors such as Hugh Laurie and George Clooney, I find the acting of Raffey Cassidy who plays Athena the supporting character is something really pleasant and convincing till the very end.

The pacing is true enemy for this movie. The actions in the movie seems to be too far separated and also too much dialogue in the middle. I like that they tries to explain as much as they can about Tomorrowland but the first half and the middle half is all just talking. Not to mention the show is 2 hours long with that much of talking, I feel like I am watching a documentary of the future or universe. Shit also happens when you try your very best to cover the history and story of 2 characters and realise that you don't have enough screen time to tell everything so you decide to rush everything.

Skip it. Petrol is already going up 10 cents as of 1st June 2015, use the money to pump the extra fuel for your car. The more you support shows like this, it will eventually comes out with Tomorrowland 2 and I really hate to be there when it happens.

I will say it now before you read the spoiler, that this is one of the shows that you should watch. When I first saw the trailer, I am pretty sure that it is going to be one of those forgettable action movie with good casts in it but this movie proves me wrong. Many time in the movie, I was desperately biting my nails figuring it out what is going to happen next, so if you are up for some good action with lots and lots of explosion and many WTF moments, this movie is for you. I gave this movie 4 out of 5 stars, read ahead for spoilers:

This movie is not your regular run in a mill action movie, it comes with great story line and incredible acting which at times resonates with my inner feelings. The whole freaking show is like a orchestra of actions with so much action and the pacing really keeps you at the edge of your seats all the time. The cast that was put together was also pure bad ass, hands down for Charlize Theron as Furiosa and also Tom Hardy as Max made up a really good team.

Like every other action movie, lots of their action will lead to death repeating times but this movie do have their heroes injured, bruised and to the brink of death which is good. I still hate the fact the starting storyline had not much development, all we know is mankind got into a thermo nuclear war and suddenly we still need oil and oil are scarce. That is the beginning of the movie. The starting pacing of the movie was also too fast with a capturing and then all of a sudden he is being held captive as a blood bag. A little back story of who is Max, maybe? I know too little and it irks me.

It is still one of the now action movie to watch in the cinema. You won't get that much of actions from other movie and I can promise you that you will be seating at the edge of your chair while waiting breathlessly what is going to happen next. I recommend those who like action movie to watch this particular show.

This movie is a must watch if you are a fan of Blake Lively, which surprisingly I am. I didn't know I was that much of her fan till I watched this movie. The Age of Adaline tells a story of a girl who is unable to age after a freak accident happen to her. I would rate this movie a 3 out of 5 stars as I personally feel there are still some part which are lacking in. Read all about it below, and as usual SPOILERS ahead:

What can I say about Blake Lively, she is really really pretty. The amount of dresses she wore in the movie is really awesome. She has the figure to fit into any dresses and still make it look so damn blardy good. Her acting are much better compare with the time she is in Green Lantern, the only good thing from that movie was she got married to Ryan Reynolds. Other than that, Harrison Ford acting in this movie is spectacular. So convincing that at times, I feel what he is feeling. The main actor acting was just okay, didn't have much dialogue in the movie. There are some emotional part in the movie with Blake's daughter but that is about it.

I personally think the scrip writer(s) tried their best to explain why she can't age in a scientific terms which the truth is, 90% of the viewers in the cinema could not give a shit. That and also the person besides me trying his best to translate every single English word to Mandarin for his ever loving non-English speaking girlfriend. Other than that, nothing in the movie is worth taking note except for Blake Lively and Harrison Ford's acting. I felt in the 2 hours everything else does not stand out except these 2 and occasionally as mention, Blake's daughter but she was not there for the whole movie too.

While I admire the writer and director to create something like Benjamin Button, what made Benjamin Button successful was they did not tried to explain scientifically what happen to him and why he is reverse ageing. Some stuff just got to be kept as movie and trust me more than enough people will be happy with it. You should only watch if you are Blake Lively's fan. If not, you can just skip this show in the cinema and get it via other means.

Back then during my form 3 till after university. I was an avid dota player, I played easily more games than I can ever counted and also staying in hostel with LAN connection makes DoTA so much easier. In fact, I migrated from DoTA to DoTA 2 and still continue playing back then. Was I good? Nah. Was I happy? Only when I win. Was I frustrated? Sometimes.

Valve decides to buy the DoTA team and make it officially theirs
But still DoTA holds a soft spot in my heart, till this very day I watch The International with my friends and talk about it over Skype while we witness near perfect teamwork from the teams but me being the less competitive person learned some good lesson playing DoTA. And some of it you can actually apply in real life, here we go:

Lesson #1: TEAMWORK

How much you farm in dota, does not matter if half of the battle was fought without you carrying the weight. This only makes your teammate frustrated because you are suppose to be in charge of winning most of the battles but you are too indulge in yourself to bother about things happening around you. In life have the same principles, if you work in a team, and when things happened and you are always there to guide/help/teach or just offer a listening ears, you will then not only leadership but also trust among your team members.

Lesson #2: LISTENING

Many times people mistaken that being the Ace players you don't need to listen to those around you. Yes, you might be the best when solo-ed but have you forgotten that all the gears must be moving to have the perfect timing and also opening. People should take time to listen to feedbacks from surrounding, yeah it is nice to be on the top. Who doesn't? But listening evokes a different sense as it is too stop and stare before it is too late.

Lesson #3: TIMING

It is all about time. Whenever something big happen, in your personal life or workplace or gaming. Timing is everything. You see that girl over there, if you time your questions nicely you might get her number or at the very least her name. Life teaches you timing in a different manner that's why we all need to try to control timing with whatever we have. DoTA teaches me timing, and I try applying it in life as good as I can (still remember that time when I wanted to ask something from my dad, Playstation One, I waited till I gotten my results from UPSR and then ask. Suffice to say, I got the unit but I was stupid to reject a PS2 offered from my dad. It's okay #janjiplaystation.)

Lesson #4: BATTLES

Everywhere you go, you pick your battles. That is because not all battles which are fought will result a win on your side, or a draw. Most of the battles you pick in the game, dictates the future outcomes. Therefore, you should not just jump into any battles just for the sake of fighting. Even the strongest leader, pick their battles wisely. Choose your battle wisely and I assure you that the tides will be on your side and fall into the correct place.

Remember when people tell you that shit about the glass is half full or whatever between those line. DoTA teaches you to master this, an INT hero getting a VIT item, for example the Heart or maybe dmg items. Its the different way of looking at things which make things much more enjoyable in life. That is because with all of these you can always switch your perspective easily in real life, being in work or personal. Sometimes, people don't tend to inflict something on you just it happens for a reason. Look at the brighter side maybe it will tend to make you think of different perspective to counter the problem.

See mum after all of the nagging that DoTA doesn't help anything, while I'm not earning millions. I still find a good lesson that DoTA teaches me and somewhat manage to incorporate them in my life. Don't look down on us gamer, we learn quite a fair deal on gaming mainly also English and directions. Mind mapping was a big part of my gaming experience and I will write about that in my upcoming BloodBorne review :D.
