Before you read this review, you should know there are currently 2 more Fast&Furious movies slated since I personally think it should have ended at the previous F&F 7 but yeah here, I am reviewing the next instalment of the Fast & Furious. I will rate this movie a 3 out of 5 mainly because it has lost the core of what an F&F movie should have been. I would not spend much time reviewing this since this franchise is much more of a fanboy franchise since  F&F Tokyo Drift.

This time they have decided to not only involve car racing but also lots of fist fight. If you are always a fan of Jason Statham fist fight, you are in for a treat. A Certain part of the movie felt like Transporter and also then there are some directly taken out from Death Race. Dwayne Johnson had his fair share of fist fight busting out of the jail like you seen in the trailer and it is really really good. The range of car now has gone up to be more lavish and we are now exposed to more car branding mainly Mercedes, Mustang and many other. Surprisingly, there was a Subaru and Toyota featured.

Trying to fit so many action scene in the movie feels so cluttered and cramped. Every single action scene was over the top. One point, it felts like Micheal Bay decided to shoot Transformer in Fast&Furious. I love it if they brought back something basic like Tokyo Drift, good racing and a good storyline with at least some meaningful dialogue. The current La Familia motto seems like overly forced into this movie where the only part of the family you felt was throughout the end of the movie.

Fast&Furious seems to be much of a fanboy franchise currently. The only reason that you watched it is because you were still holding on to the memories of their glory days which in my case, that happen. I kept lying to myself that the movie would not suck but at the end only to be disappointed. Also, there are no Nissan cars anymore. RIP GTR.

So I have no idea where to start this, all I know is I watched Power Rangers when I was young and they announcing the remake is something that I was partially looking forward to because I am sure the childhood me will be entertained but at the same time, pretty sure it will be downright cringe-fest, and I was right. I find it hard to rate this movie, but overall I would give it a 6 out of 10, I will try to list down why as much as I can

The reboot takes lots of the original series and modernises it into something which is not truly bad. The new armor ensure that it something which makes sense as it is alien-coating armor which they should bring it out from within because its much cooler that way than a piece of cloth. Other than that, they did the new Dinozords much well deserve polishing. Fight scenes was good albeit too short, both in Dinozords and in their armored form.

They tried putting the whole series into a movie and that made it much of a disconnected disaster. The rangers found their power in the first 10 minute into the movie and everything happened in a blink of an eye. They train, they tried to get their armors, they talk about their personal relationship over BBQ, and suddenly they are fighting Rita. The movie was 2 hours 4 minute but there are still parts which made it feel so draggy, and I personally wished it will end. Fight scenes should not be boring, but sadly Power Rangers manage to do it.

My only reason for watching this is because it reminded me of my childhood lots and that being said, this movie brought back all my childhood especially when they morph, and the original score from the series was played as the Dinozords ran out. Watch only if you want to feel nostalgia, regarding feelings, I rated this movie a solid 10 out of 10. Thanks for at least trying to bring my childhood not utterly destroying it.

Logan was such a good movie to watch, the clearly used the R rating in this case and also the storyline takes a slow and depressing method to the very end. I shall go straight to the good and bad of the movie which I personally feel this movie score an easy 8 out of 10 stars for me.

Brutal and lots of limbs flying in this movie. The reason they rated this movie R is that lots of the fight scene involve people losing their limbs, half of their face and many other very graphic fighting scene. This is in sync with most of the comic about Wolverine where his fight is brutal, fast-paced and full of people losing their limbs. Aside from that, the storyline took a drastic turn to be very slow and character focus which is really good. The action and story played a vital role to ensure that you pay attention to what is to come. Somewhat, you are curious when will there be a next fighting scene and also what will happen in that particular scene. The introduction of X-23 although she barely said anything in the movie brings a good character twist on Logan as we see the different side of him.

The storyline for Logan can be quite confusing for most of the people. That being said, if you have been following all the X-Men series actively then you will not feel that lost in the movie. If not, I shall recommend you to watch the earlier X-Men (First Class and Days of Future Past at least). Other than that, I personally wanted the mutant kids to showcase more power but then again, they are not the main cast of the movie.

Such a fitting end to the most iconic character of X-Men. Throughout the movie, I truly enjoyed watching scene after scene of action and also the deep but depressing storyline. I wish more X-Men movie was made like this.

I actually enjoyed watching the first Lego movie, and when they announced the next franchise was Lego Batman, I was looking forward to it. I guess I will not rate this movie because of its personal preferences. You either like it or hate it because most of the jokes are sometimes lame but also sometimes on point. They used quite some references to old Batman movies and aside from that, some of DC other characters too, mainly villains.

If you like the first Lego movie, you will love it. They kept the same style and also added the Batman element into it. You will see how Batman uses his building skills with the Lego pieces to create a functioning vehicle while free falling. Aside from that, the storyline is pretty straightforward and easy to understand. I feel the characters voice acting this time is much better that is mainly because of the much better cast and also their joke this time are pretty dark. Since it is Batman's movie after all.

Like all cartoon movie, there is some part which seems pretty long and draggy. Halfway throughout feels like forever when the characters have a short dialog about feelings and emotions. I know it is to invoke that Batman is a loner but I still couldn't get pass the fact that they used it way too many times.  From the beginning till almost the end of the movie, the mood seems to be the same. While I appreciate the director trying to remind us Batman is alone, I am more interested in the focus on the current storyline.

Still, a pretty good movie to watch. I went it without any expectation, and I came out feeling that money is not wasted. The voice acting, and the different variations of Batman's gadget still make the movie pretty much entertaining. Still a much better love story than Twilight. If you are fan of the first Lego movie, this will not disappoint you.

M. Night Shyamalan strikes again with another of his plot twist movie. Been a long time since I watched a movie lately because I have been extremely busy and most of the time lazy too. This year is definitely a good year to be a movie buff because tons of grade-A movie has already been announced. For Split, I will personally rate it 3 out of 5 and below is the reasons:

James McAvoy at its best, although he did not showcase all the personalities in the movie. The ones that he showcased was on point and gets you directly into the character. Every different style is tailored and played so well by James McAvoy till at times you think he was the perfect fit for this. Some of his personalities also come with a particular slang which it is easy to distinguish whenever he takes on a different role. Aside from that, they have a different set of body language which was played well. The girl characters were annoying but good enough to ensure that you will be well entertained and stay at the edge of your seat.

Typical M. Night Shyamalan-ding-dong plot twist always comes into play. I am pretty sure some of you readers will beg to differ but I would have hope one of his movie does not have his high AF plot twists. Other than that, there are certain scenes which feel draggy to some people and partially for me. There are scenes I wish elaborated more and had a different setting at the end.

I am sure that this movie will keep you intrigued at the end of the day. I will strongly recommend the film which ensures that you want to find out how will it end.  M. Night Shyamalan looks like he is partially back on track. If only he stop smoking up now and then, he will certainly make lots of his fanboy happy with his movie.

I am lucky to be introduced to mechanical keyboard and slowly learn to appreciate it. It is the Razer Blackwidow and it individually installed it each and every one of the letters and numbers is a single blue LED light and a BLUE switch (not going in-depth on the different switches).

Razer Blackwidow (picture courtesy of digitaltrends)

So after serving me for close to 3 years, all the keys start to acting all wonky and will not response to what I type, that is when I decided to ask around, and I was recommended by Taobao Master Lim, for some keyword recommendation, one of my criteria is that must be CHEAP and that is when he recommend me the: RAPOO V500.

The keys very similar to Cherry MX Brown but they are using their own China made keys which aren't that bad as it felt pretty close to the original Cherry MX Brown with only 25% of the price. I have no complained of keyboard construction as mentioned above and also the end design layout. I do somewhat wish the fonts for the keyboard was a little different but no worries, you can always buy a different keycap anywhere and replace the current one (yes to mechanical keyboards).  The keyboard has been tested to survive my button mashing when I play my FPS games mainly Overwatch and also lots and lots of typing. After awhile, you kinda get used to the more less tacky noises of the keys, and it feels somewhat heavier than the blue because the spring feels lesser feedback thus typing it will take some time to get used to it but trust me after that you will feel like you were born to type.

Rapoo V500 was built with lots of thinking and precision, that is because mainly for a China product it exudes such high quality that it can be on par with most much much more expensive mechanical keyboards. Other than that, it felt quite durable and can take quite a beating. Most recently, while I was cleaning it, I accidently dropped it on the floor, aside from the keycap all splattering over the floor, the main internal still works well without an issue

For such a cheap keyboard price at RM270 (added shipping), I guess it is hard for me to ever go back to buying mainstream brands such as Razer (ever worst now that Razer decided to manufacture their own switch for MAXIMUM profit yo). I guess moving forward from now on, I shall be loyal to the likes of Rapoo and some other China branding keyboard which is reliable and serves its purpose, the best part is I can keep on changing.
